It’s never a dull day for the Scooby gang here on Lincoln drive. For some unknown reason run-away canine find their way to our street and inevitably we end up rescuing them.
We’ve caught six or seven run aways in the last few years. Usually we find the owners out looking and they make it safely home.
And then there’s Bob
Ok, that’s probably not his given name. But he was seen running around and wouldn’t let anyone near him. The Scooby gang: Andrea, Scott, Elaine, and me jumped into action and finally cornered him.
We gained his trust, leashed him, and fed him. And I named him Bob.
Well we had called the police when we couldn’t catch him. So when they came Bob had to be taken to homeward bound for seven days – for a stray hold.
If no one claims him, we’ve already put our names in to adopt him. Hopefully we can go get him next Saturday.
Update: Andrea went to homeward bound and discovered Bob’s name is actually Cody. And his story is a bit convoluted. His original family had given him to new people. But it wasn’t working out. But before he could be re-homed it looks like he got loose on July 4th.
So, Bob (aka Cody) has been on the streets wandering for nearly two weeks.
He’s safe now at the shelter. And we have to wait and see. We’ll happily be his forever home if the original owners can’t take him back.
The universe works in mysterious ways. Bob, aka Cody, is coming home with us.
