Well Halloween 2024 is over. The good news, I don’t have to undecorate! We were so busy this year I kept saying I would get to it… and I never did. Sure, we put a few decorations out for the trick-or-treaters but the yard, completely devoid of skeletons or tombstones. Even the neighbors noticed and asked why?
Enjoy Candy Distribution
Well our kid is grown now. She almost didn’t go trick-or-treating, you know, teenagers don’t collect candy. But her friends came over and she ended up heading out to gather treats. Mean while, Elaine and I enjoyed our new tradition – watching Halloween movies while we drink cocktails and hand out candy. Usually we also have a fire pit going too but this year the 80 degree weather rendered that unnecessary.
The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown
When the young kids are coming by we keep the movie selections PG. We generally start with The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown. After all, it’s a Halloween tradition from my childhood. This year, we followed it up with The Frighteners. Though we didn’t make the end… Trick-or-Treat ended at 7pm – so early. So, we ended up packing up and heading inside.
But it was an enjoyable holiday none-the-less. And now… much to my family’s chagrin – I am UNBOUND and can start playing my Christmas music!!!
