Sometimes you simply need to listen to the universe. Today was one of those days. The morning started off badly. So, instead of heading to work we all headed to ocean city’s beach!
We were intending to hit the O.C. Boardwalk in the evening, picking Maddy up from camp and grabbing her friend and heading down to enjoy the evening on the boards. But when the AM went south I suggested we hit the beach, skipping work.
No one believed me.
It wasn’t until I emailed the office that Elaine and I wouldn’t be in and texted I was heading to shop rite for snacks and ice that my family believed I was serious.
Our launch from home took a little longer than expected. But we picked up Addison, hit the diner for breakfast, and headed to the shore.
It was a great day on the beach. Great weather though the water was cold. The girls had fun on their boogie boards. We flew a kite. And hit the boardwalk in the early evening for some rides. Until it started to rain and we headed home.
We stopped at plaza Azteca for dinner. It was a delicious end to a great day.
